Global Alliance for Green and Gender Action (GAGGA)

The Global Alliance for Green and Gender Action (GAGGA) led by FCAM Foundation and its partners Mama Cash and Both ENDS, is a diverse network established in 2016 that involves around 24 women’s funds, environmental justice funds, 31 NGOs, and four hundred, and 440 community-based organizations (CBOs) working at the nexus of women’s rights, gender, climate, and environmental justice at local, national, and regional levels in Africa, Asia, the Pacific, Latin America, Europe and the globe.

Through GAGGA we address one of the key issues of our time: the environmental crisis and its impact on the planet. However, our approach goes beyond climate change adaptation and mitigation actions; it includes the role and actions of the communities most affected by the climate crisis, who, through their community practices and worldviews, address its structural causes to provide real and forceful responses that center life.
